Loughton Contracts Team Takes to the Pitch for World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is a chance to stop and think about how we look after ourselves and the people we work with. This year, the Loughton Contracts team marked the day by getting together for a football match.
Construction is a demanding industry, with long hours and a lot of pressure on site. Taking an afternoon to play football, have a laugh and spend time with colleagues outside of work is a simple way to build the kind of team where people feel comfortable speaking up when things are tough.
The match itself saw our Fit-out and Construction departments go head to head, with a total of 15 goals scored. Fit-out came away with the win, but there were good performances across both teams.
After the game, everyone stayed on for a drink and the chance to catch up with colleagues from across the business.
We’d like to thank everyone who played and came along to watch. It was a great day, and we’re already planning the next one.
