The Oak Cancer Centre, a new research and treatment facility funded by The Royal Marsden Hospital, has been shortlisted for a Contract Flooring Journal Installation of the Year Award. The project, featuring an expanse of vinyl, LVT, rubber and carpet tiles is a finalist in the “Best Flooring in Health Care” category.

Oak Cancer Centre - Loughton Contracts - New Flooring

This new state of the art facility featured several floors dedicated to the treatment of cancer patients. Each of these areas incorporated a sheet rubber floor finish, with contrasting colours demarking walkways through out the space. This product is not only very hygienic and easy to maintain but also has a durable quality to it, making it perfect for this environment.

As well as rubber flooring, this project also saw our teams supply and install sheet vinyl, LVT, timber and carpet tiles to other areas of the facility. Staff and administrative areas featured a softer floor finish in the form of a carpet tile, while the centre’s restaurant had an engineered timber floor installed throughout.
